Kamen Rider Zero One and Batman will be getting an official crossover comic and related merch !
so the third Saturday of the September rolled around and as a now over decade long tradition DC comics/Warner Bros., celebrated Batman day. and at Tokyo's "Rule the Night" fan event announced to the world, Kamen Rider Zero One is going to be crossing over with the caped crusader for a comic and related mech line (probably a few very expensive figures and maybe a top).
now I’m willing to bet money, outta the two heroes here Batman isn’t the one that needs an explainer on, so for those that are not in the know, Kamen Rider Zero one is Aruto Hiden a failed comedian turned Tech CEO when he inherits his late grandads company, whose main product is well pretty much the androids from Detroit become human and transforms into Zero One to fight the Ark an evil AI and said evil Ai's terrorist cell Metsuboujinrai.net.
now unlike every other article that beat me to the coving this story, as i waited for a little more information I can also reveal it was announced who said crossover comics writer will be !
thats right ! its Kenny Porter who has if you check his website worked on enough things I've heard people I respect say how good they are that I have faith that unlike the last time Zero One made an apprentice in a comicbook, I will like it. also the Art for the comic as well as this promotional image that's currently my phones background was by tokitokoro who is also just fantastic.
also fun fact,This team-up almost happened 30 years ago.
In 1996, Golden Age Batman artist Jerry Robinson, the man credited with co-creating the Joker, met Shotaro Ishinomori, the creator of kamen rider among other things, at a manga museum exhibition in Japan and proposed a Batman vs. Kamen Rider comic. Shotaro Ishinomari died a few years later and the crossover never happened. so this is pretty much a crossover my whole lifetime in the making.

and I could leave off there but if you know me good reader you know I love nothing more then to speculate wildly with very little information, so let me do my best to explain to you what will be happening in this crossover.
Batman and Zero One will be teaming up to stop Brother Eye and the Ark who will possibly with nanomedicines (son) make Kamen Rider Ark-Omac ( or OmArk? i dont know). Brother Eye and Ark both being evil Ai's with ties to there heroes make the villain team up a no brainier, and the paring that makes the most sense, the only other option would be having Thouser/Zaia work with an Batman rouge as they are just an evil tech company (so just a tech company) but none of them click together quite as well as two evil Ai's with ties to the main characters in some way you know ?
Also there’s no way Bruce isnt going to use the Zero one Driver at some point to transform, the only restriction on that thing is you need to be a CEO also the mech opportunities of that design alone.
But what do you think about all of this ? are you hyped for the crossover ? what are you hopping to see from it ? what other Toku henshin heroes would you like to see team up with comic heroes ?
As always Ive been Emz, writer, reviewer and person this announcement was made aimed at, for semi-canon. Cya Next time !
